Do you use sketches very often when you scrap? I must admit I struggle with sketches but I love the challenge of using them. I struggle because I take them literally and can't think outside of the box when using them. If you love sketches then why not hop over to Let's Scrap. They have weekly sketch challenges and a huge library of sketches to troll through.
This is what I have done for this weeks sketch.
Thanks for dropping by.
Keep on scrapping.
Use Acetate on your creation - you can do anything you like - do a layout, a card or even an Off The Page item. Here is what I created.
I had so much fun with this. The acetate on this layout are the pieces with the chevron pattern on them. I stamped them, spritzed them and dribbled paint on them. It was so much fun.
I would love to see what you create. So pop on over to Off The Rails Scrapbooking for some fantastic inspiration and to enter what you create. You have until December 12, 2013 9:00am EST to enter your project.
Have you tried Fussy Cutting yet? It takes a bit longer, but the effect is amazing. I just love it, but admit I have to be in the mood to 'slow down' and do it. I am a very impatient scrapper, and love to use pre-made embellishments etc., and I hate waiting for paint and mists to dry. But sometimes you just have to take the slower road and let your creativity flow.
On this layout I fussy cut the flowers and the lady. This was a page dedicated to my mums love of sewing. When she was younger she used to make her own clothes and also my clothes when I was little. She tried to share the love with me when I was growing up, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. I so wish I had of perservered though because I just loved having one off designer clothes when I was little and wish I could of shared that with my daughter.
Well I hope I have inspired you to get creating.
Thanks for popping by today.
Have a scrap happy day.
Well today I have some definite 'OOh La La' to share with you. Recently I was given the opportunity to work with a Whimsy Stamps stamp. I have previously shown a sneak peek of this project, but here is the complete card.
These are such great stamps. This one is called 'Bathing Beauty'. But the opportunity also posed a dilemma for me. I knew I had to colour it somehow and the last time I tried colouring I got very frustrated. I am happy to report that this time I had a much more pleasant experience to which I can put down to using different pens. I think I have blogged about this before. I don't like Copic's so sold what I had and bought some Spectrum Noir's. I find that for me they are easier as I don't need as many pens to get the same effect.
Well you be the judge, but don't look to closely at the colouring, I am only a beginner......
Thanks for popping over.
Have a scrap happy day.
Gee haven't I been a bit slack. Can't believe I haven't blogged for over a week. Oh dear. Well today I have some flowery inspiration for you. I did this layout for a challenge over at Let's Scrap a few weeks ago...oops...should of really blogged it while the challenge was on. Oh well, life gets in the way sometimes I guess.
The challenge was to use only Flowers, Trees and Leaves as embellishments. I loved this one as I find it so much easier to do girl pages, after all you just add flowers and your done...lol
